Le Site des Chutes de la Marmite

Gardens and Nature Walk

Marmite Falls have long been one of the most popular tourist attractions at Rivière-à-Pierre, but this was not always the case. In earlier times, these falls were the site of a hydro-electric dam that provided power to the town of (and especially the manufacturing plants in) Rivière-à-Pierre. Very nice footpaths stretch for 1 km (0.6 miles), making it easy for anyone to visit the site. Picnic tables and snack bar. A pleasant spot for admiring the landscape and exploring the forest near the river.
