Seven kilometres of walking trails crisscross throughout the village, as well as a network of eight kilometres of roads in between the log cottages. You will have the chance to observe streams, lakes, cascades, forest, sugar shack and the river.

Indeed, summer and winter, it is the perfect place to book your outdoor activities: boats, fatbikes, snowshoes, skates and much more! You will have access to the Lac des Loutres beach and the marina in summer, as well as the ice fishing area, the slide, and the ice rinks in winter.

Miles of trails crisscross the village. Explore them on foot, on snowshoes, by bike, or by fatbike. There is something for every taste!

Snowshoeing is one of the easiest winter sports to practice, for both beginner and beginner. You will appreciate the welcoming environment of our village to practice this sport! Many trails are laid out and are very easily passable for a family hike.

For the more adventurous, leave the beaten track and discover our forests. As many trails are accessible to you, you can do a short activity or enjoy all day.

Fishing lovers, do not forget that it is also practiced in winter! Ice fishing is a family activity accessible to all. Ice fishing is a great way to enjoy the beautiful winter scenery while indulging in your favorite sport. All you have to do is put your line in the water!

The village at Au Chalet en Bois Rond has nearly 15 km (9.3 miles) of trails through the forest and snowy paths adapted to fatbikes the entire family can enjoy. Bring your own fatbikes during your stay this winter! We also have fatbikes for rent to explore our village and trails. A fun outdoor activity for your vacation! The fatbike rentals are in the following sizes: child (20") and adult (XS-S-M-L).

Located in the third snowiest region in Québec. Over 1200 km (745.6 miles) of trails in a loop, 7 circuits of trails from 85 to 300 km (52.8 to 186.4 miles) long, as well as 45 way stations. Points of service and attractions nearby. Rent a snowmobile at the visitor reception center in the village. Outings range from a short two-hour trip to a full-day excursion. Our pack of sled dogs, located right in the village, is a must-see. Enjoy an exciting trip through the wilderness! The package includes a 1 h 30 minutes dogsled ride, 60 minutes on the trail, musher training, a professional guide, 2 people per dogsled, photo break, puppy meet and greet, and hot chocolate upon your return.
