Maison Tessier-Dit-Laplante

Dating back to 1862, this historical dwelling represents the typical house in neoclassic style common in 19th-century rural Québec. Its repeated architectural elements reflect French and British inspiration, and the raised foundation is visible beneath the attractive porch extending from the house. The Tessier-Dit-Laplante family lived here for generations. One of their sons was François-Xavier (alias Isaïe Tessier-Dit-Laplante), a mayor and the last seigneur (lord) of Beauport.
