With an abundance of lakes, rivers, mountains and cliffs, this park, which measures over 70 km² (27 sq. mi.), is an exceptional outdoor recreation site.

Over 70 km (43.5 miles) of forest trails through different sectors, a gorgeous landscape and a full range of outdoor activities make this wildlife preserve a well-kept secret. In the summer, breathe in the fresh air while canoeing, paddleboarding, fishing, rock climbing, doing a ropes course, inflatable rafting or rabaska canoeing. Create your own fishing stories to share with family or friends. Three lakes are seeded in the spring for your fishing pleasuret. Admire the view from a lookout point along a hiking trail. Get a good night's rest at a campground or cottage. In the winter, go snowshoeing or cross-country skiing through the park along a trail suited to your level of physical ability.

    During the winter season, the Parc naturel régional de Portneuf open its cross-country skiing center. The tracks are nestled in the forest. Many loops are offered for classic cross-country skiing. Different levels from easy to difficult. Beautiful slopes await you! Equipment rental available on site.

  • Snowshoeing

    The Parc naturel regional de Portneuf offers two sectors, during the winter season, for snowshoeing. The first sector offers hiking trails along the cliffs and the river. It's called the 'Secteur des gorges'.The trails are easy. You will also have the chance to see the beautiful ice wall used for ice climbing. Then, there is also three loops at the 'Centre de ski de fond Les Portes de l'Enfer' which offers more difficult trails. This Sector is mountainous for a sporty hike.

    The Parc naturel régional de Portneuf is nestled in a an enchanting setting of lakes and forest. Six rustic cottages, located on the edge of peaceful lakes, are available during summer season. There is also two fully-equipped cottages available year-round along the Ste-Anne river. The park also offers shelters, ready-to-camp and rustic campings sites. Three lakes are stocked in May for trout fishing. Thus, three cottages are offered as a fishing package from May to mid-June.

From the high cliff bordering the Long lake to the canyon of the Sainte-Anne river, the Devil's hole cave to the meanders of the Noire river or at the top of the 'Montagne de la Tour' trail, incredible landscapes to see in our Park.
