    This 312-km (194-mile) Ride Around Winter’s Hometown that begins in Québec City will take you on a discovery tour of memorable landscapes and rich human experiences. Ride along the St. Lawrence River in the beautiful Portneuf area, known for its outdoor activities and rich heritage. Enjoy mountainous trails that wind their way through frozen lakes and rivers.     The Sommets des Monts-Valin Circuit

    The height of pleasure

    The Sommets des Monts-Valin Circuit, a 450-km (280-mile) course across 5 peaks reaching an altitude of more than 770 metres (2,526 feet) at Monts-Valin, is a veritable playground for snowmobilers, enjoyed for its thick snow cover and beautiful views of the Saguenay Fjord, Lac Saint-Jean and the town of Saguenay. This popular outdoor and resort destination is home to many attractions to discover during your getaway, including Cap au Leste on the Saguenay River, Chute-aux-Galets, the Valinouet ski resort, the nature accommodations at Imago Village, or L’Éternel Spa, a Scandinavian mountain spa.

    From La Malbaie to the back-country mountains, this loop leads to breathtaking vistas from the peaks of Mont à Peine, Thérèse-Casgrain and Grand-Fonds. The observation deck of Montagne de la Croix offers a mesmerizing 360° panorama of the valley and the Malbaie River’s frozen meanders. At dusk, you can wander off-trail for a stop in La Malbaie. Starting from the Québec, Charlevoix or Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, you will have access to 5,700 km (3,542 miles) of marked trails on a thick white carpet of virgin snow that runs along the St. Lawrence and Saguenay rivers, in addition to criss-crossing Charlevoix’s back country. This itinerary will take you through river and mountain landscapes, panoramic views and picturesque charm, unexplored corners and lively places. Think only of Old Québec, the Ice Hotel, or the Casino de Charlevoix.

    If you are looking for additional tours, it is also possible to extend your stay in eastern Québec by visiting the Côte-Nord, Gaspésie and Bas Saint-Laurent regions.
