March Break at Aquarium du Québec
The Aquarium shines a spotlight on jellyfish with a special program for the whole family.
Here’s what you can enjoy:
Jellyfish Storytime: Listen to the tale of Aurélie Lune, the Rebel Jellyfish, told by storytellers Félicité the Fairy and Madame Prune. (Daily at 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., at the Aqua Lab’)
Jellyfish Tasting: Try jellyfish bites prepared by specialist Marie-Lyne Deshaies, who will share fascinating facts about these creatures and their surprising uses in products like collagen and cosmetics. (March 1, 2, 8, and 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Freshwater and Saltwater Pavilion)
Special Jellyfish Presentation: Discover Pacific sea nettles, Japanese sea nettles, and spotted jellies in a dimly lit setting, with guided presentations at select times. (Daily at 10:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., at the Deep-Sea Pavilion)
Jellyfish Quiz: Solve riddles to unlock the treasure chest while learning about jellyfish biology, reproduction, and more. Microscopes will be available to observe their planktonic diet. (Daily from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Nordet)
Jellyfish Face Painting: Treat the kids to a jellyfish-themed face painting. (Daily from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Nordet – activity fee: $5)
