Winter here brings a big lineup of festivals, events, and fairs, proving that people in Québec City definitely know how to have fun when the temperature drops. To help you make the most of the season, we’ve put together a list of events to add to your calendar.

    Québec City's German Christmas Market

    November 21 to December 23, 2024 (Thursday to Sunday)

    In the heart of Old Québec, exhibitors of this authentic outdoor European Christmas market offer delicious traditional products like mulled wine, gingerbread, and grilled sausages, as well as decorative items made for the Holiday Season.

    Kaléidoscopes

    December 27 to 31, 2024

    This festive, cultural and multidisciplinary celebration presented by the German Christmas Market brings Old Québec to life through sites dedicated to the five senses.

    New Year's Eve in Québec City (Toboggan)

    December 28 to 31, 2024

    It’s on Grande Allée that New Year is being celebrated with a winter village, outdoor musical performances, and the famous countdown to the new year.

    Québec Winter Carnival

    February 7 to 16, 2025

    Québec Winter Carnaval is one of the world's largest winter carnivals! Every year, thousands of visitors flock to Québec to enjoy a host of activities for all ages including, ice sculptures, night parades, ice canoe races, musical performances and Bonhomme's famous  Ice Palace.

    International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament

    February 12 to 23, 2025

    Hockey fever returns to Québec City as thousands of young players live the dream and fight for the glory of their teams at the International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament. Attend a game at the Videotron Centre and you could see future NHL stars in action.

    Mois Multi

    Dates TBA

    The Mois Multi event offers a full month of discoveries and experiments dedicated to multidisciplinary and electronic arts.

    Village Nordik in the Port of Québec

    Dates TBA

    Try your hand at ice fishing as you admire the views of the Old City. Village Nordik has music, a footpath, family play areas, and inflatable igloos to keep you warm while fishing.

    Pentathlon des neiges (Snow Pentathlon)

    Dates TBA

    Locals and visitors rise to the challenge at the world’s biggest multisport winter event, forming groups to face off in five disciplines—skating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, running, and biking. There are team categories for families, companies, schools, and even seniors. Some athletes even complete the entire event in pairs or on their own! Most impressive.
