Céline Symphonique
After captivating the audience at the Maison symphonique de Montréal in 2023, Gestev, in collaboration with the Orchestre Philharmonique du Québec, is pleased to announce that Céline Symphonique will be coming to the Grand Théâtre de Québec to transport guests into the world of the great Céline Dion. Under the musical direction of conductor Alexandre Da Costa, the Orchestre Philharmonique du Québec, composed of 47 musicians, along with soloists Fernando Varela, Barnev, Élise Duguay, Jennifer-Lee Dupuy, and Krystel Mongeau, will unite their talents to perform Céline Dion's greatest classics.
Alexandre Da Costa, the principal conductor of the Orchestre Philharmonique du Québec, is an internationally renowned solo violinist and artistic director. A true virtuoso whose reputation extends beyond our borders, Da Costa has been awarded a JUNO and numerous other international prizes. Having performed over 2000 concerts across four continents and 30 countries, Da Costa is now among the most sought-after conductors and solo violinists, as well as one of the world's best Stehgeigers (a violinist who conducts an ensemble while standing, with the violin in hand).
To honor one of the most renowned Quebecois singers in history, Céline Symphonique will powerfully, finely, and relevantly celebrate some of her many hits, such as "Pour que tu m'aimes encore," "J'irai où tu iras," and "My Heart Will Go On." An event befitting the exceptional career of the iconic singer Céline Dion.
