Correspondances
La Musique des Voltigeurs de Québec et La Musique du Royal 22e Régiment
For the second year in a row, the musicians of the Voltigeurs de Québec Band and the Royal 22e Régiment Band will join forces to commemorate Remembrance Day with a major concert at the Palais Montcalm.
Correspondances will present musical works marked by this solemn reverence, many of them directly inspired by the Second World War.
This event will once again bear witness to the close collaboration between the Reserve Force and the Regular Force in Quebec, but will also draw on the ties between Canada and Latvia. Three members of the Latvian National Guard Orchestra will take part in the event: Major Andis Karelis, musical director and guest of honor for the evening, accompanied by Private First Class Jānis Porietis, trumpet player and soloist, and composer Private First Class Inga Meijere.
Conducted by Major François Dorion, CD, Captain Marie-Perle Broadley, CD and our guest of honour, Major Andis Karelis, Correspondances will offer you this all-important dialogue of peace.
