Jazz’n Geek is proud to present KART RACING: A Tribute to Mario Kart, a concert that will appeal to jazz fans just as well as symphonic music enthusiasts.

Big band and orchestra, led by maestro Lex French, will meet on stage to perform your favorite themes from the Nintendo Switch’s single best-selling game Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, picked from its original courses, retro courses from earlier games and its DLC expansion pack. The franchise’s music is best known for its uplifting jazzy tracks, its colorful whimsy, its creative instrumentation and its playful musical depiction of imaginary settings, silly turnarounds and diverse landscapes.

Unique in Canada, the concept of a part-jazz, part-symphony ensemble specializing in video game music will simultaneously immerse you in the comforting warmth of jazz, the grandiose beauty of symphonies and the moving nostalgia of your favorite fantasy worlds.
