Printemps de la musique

Le Printemps de la musique offers extraordinary experiences in heritage—and sometimes unexpected!—venues throughout Old Québec. (Re)discover concert music in a new light, along with ongoing activities and entertainment at the festival’s headquarters.

To mark its 10th anniversary and the 40th of Les Violons du Roy, two major concerts take center stage: Tressées en écho, curated by Nicolas Jobin at the freshly restored Chapelle du Séminaire, and a grand finale with Les Violons du Roy performing without a conductor at Holy Trinity Cathedral. These are complemented by a rich lineup of free programming, including ten diverse shows featuring the Orchestre symphonique de Québec, La Musique des Voltigeurs, and groups such as Odeur de Swing, É.T.É., and Canari Club.

The Grands parcours invite audiences to explore Old Québec through short concerts held in landmark heritage sites, while Expérience concerts offer guided musical tours at the Morrin Centre and the Monastère des Ursulines. Backed by loyal institutional and cultural partners, the festival proudly continues to make classical music shine in historic settings with a spirit that is festive, accessible, and deeply rooted in the local culture.
