Québec City St-Patrick's Day Parade
Upcoming dates TBA
Downtown Québec City will resonate with the sound of bagpipes and the footsteps of participants in the Québec City St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Citizens and visitors will also see Irish wolfhounds parade, Celtic dance troupes, leprechauns, historical entertainers, dance schools, professional circus artists, Gaelic football clubs, and a beautiful representation of Irish families who participate in the event year after year.
This parade brings together four famous pipe and percussion groups from New York (Pipes & Drums Of The Emerald Society of the New York City Police Department), Boston (Boston Police Gaelic Column of Pipes and Drums), Chicago (Pipes and Drums of the Chicago Police Department) and Toronto (Toronto Fire Services' Pipes and Drums). An exceptional opportunity to witness the performance of all these groups during the same event! The ceremonial unit of the Quebec City Police Service also joins the party with the RCMP Pipes, Drums and Dancers – the RCMP pipe band.
St. Patrick's Day Parade Route:
Kick-off will be given at the corner of Cartier and Fraser streets at 2 p.m. Participants will first brighten up Grande Allée and Rue Saint-Louis, then pass through Château Frontenac. This year, the route of the festive convoy will end in front of Quebec City Hall.
