A number of activities will be held on July 3, to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of Québec City. Many free activities will take place!
At Place Jean-Béliveau Starting at 3 PM, head to the Ville de Québec Space, set up specifically for the event, to talk with members of various municipal services. It will also be an opportunity to learn more about the Beauport borough by visiting the booth hosted by the organization Le Pivot. Citizens can also enjoy the various activities at ExpoCité, including historical characters, juggling, and a face painting station. From 6 PM, Tom Folly, Margaret Tracteur, and Sara Dufour will take the stage to celebrate Québec with songs and conclude the festivities in style.
Near City Hall Additionally, the City continues its tradition of showcasing activities with a historical flavor.
11 AM to 3 PM - Tourist Circuit in the Heart of Old Québec Thanks to the Québec Tourist Guides Association, citizens and tourists will discover three must-see locations in Old Québec.
11:30 AM - Ceremony with the Mayor of Québec In the gardens of City Hall, citizens can enjoy historical anecdotes about Québec and a parade by the Royal 22nd Regiment. The ceremonial units of the Québec City Police Department and the Fire Protection Service will also be present.
1 PM to 7 PM - Animated Visits of City Hall Visitors will meet characters from various eras and origins who have marked Québec's history. Limited spaces, reservations start on June 26 at 1 PM.
3 PM to 5 PM - Archives Cabaret: A Hundred Years of History and Curiosities At Olympia Passage, history enthusiasts can attend a live recording of a podcast featuring a host of well-known personalities, including Catherine Lachaussée.
On this occasion, the City will also award medals to deserving citizens to highlight their significant contributions to the capital's community.
