Bïa et Maracujá
Bïa, singer and "sambassadrice," the most francophone of Brazilians (and a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters of France), invited Maracujá, a Montreal-Brazilian group composed of virtuoso musicians with an irresistible groove, to celebrate Brazilian music and art of living!
Bïa's songs and Maracujá's original compositions intertwined seamlessly with timeless classics of samba, forró, and bossa nova. Rhythm, softness, power, and emotion: everything is there for a dive into an ocean of enveloping, sublime, and timeless melodies. For this show, acclaimed at the 2023 Montreal Jazz Festival, a dance floor will be reserved for those who feel like moving to the rhythm!
