Manu Katché, the legendary drummer for Sting and Peter Gabriel, visits us for his very first tour in Quebec. With a classical background from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, Katché was originally destined for a distinguished career as a percussionist in a symphony orchestra. Perhaps this is one of the roots of the "Katché sound"—a signature drumstick touch instantly recognizable to discerning music lovers—that steered him away from classical music and into the world of pop-rock. Acclaimed and awarded as both an exceptional musician and a talented composer, Katché has never abandoned his first love: jazz.
